I spent most of Thanksgiving this year alone again, so I decided to make lots of delicious food for myself to celebrate.

  • Clam chowder
    • Use the salmon chowder recipe from The Pacific Northwest Seafood Book by Naomi Tomky, replacing the salmon with canned clams instead. It was fantastic, even if it was more soup-y and less chowder-y than I wanted. I can solve that problem next time.
  • Lemon thyme salmon
    • Simple oven recipe also from the above book. Used some thyme to bake over it, since I bought some for the clam chowder.
  • Spinach/arugula salad with homemade dressing
    • Dressing is homemade mayonnaise mixed with parmesan, salt, anchovies, garlic, and tonkatsu sauce.
